Popular Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has tested positive for coronavirus or Covid-19. He shared the news on Monday on Instagram and informed that he contracted the virus while shooting for ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’.
It is learned that Varun Dhawan is working in the movie ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. COVID was routinely tested during the shooting of the film. His results came COVID-positive in that test. Neetu Kapoor, who is acting opposite Varun, also tested positive for the virus.
Meanwhile, a report released by Filmfare said that the film’s director Raj Mehta was also tested COVID-positive, however, Anil Kapoor’s test results came negative.
The shooting of the movie has been stopped for now. It is reported that the shooting of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ will start once again after recovering the three artists, i.e. after staying in quarantine for a certain period of time. However, no official statement has been issued yet by the team ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’.
Apart from Anil-Neetu-Varun, Kiara Advani will be seen in the lead role in this film. Neetu is making a comeback on the silver screen after a long break. Karan Johar’s Dharma Production is in charge of film production.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Varun Dhawan urged the fans to be extra careful, saying: “I believe I could have been more careful.”
The shooting of ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ started on 16 November. The COVID test was also going on at regular intervals on the set, that glimpse came up on social media. However, the bad news came suddenly on Friday.
Varun’s ‘Coolie No. 1’ is awaiting release at Christmas. He also started promoting the film, however, his Covid-infected news came in the middle of the promotion.
